Why we're here

• Turnstile is the crossover story of the moment — a hardcore band that broke into festivals, late-night TV, and the Grammys without leaving the scene behind. Watching that in a neighborhood park is the whole point.
• Hatebreed have been the connective tissue of American hardcore for a quarter century. A bill this heavy in Pinellas Park says the Tampa Bay scene can hold a night like this.
• A park show, a local crowd, a band that made it big and came back loud. That's the economics-of-scene argument playing out in real time.
